Raffaello Angels

This very famous “painting” made by Raffaello, is just a spot of a bigger masterpiece called “Madonna Sistina”, exposed in the art gallery of the ancients “Maestri di Dresda”, one of the most famous museums in Europe.

Unusual, for the Raffaello paintings of those years, the canvas base. This fact led to various hypothesis: according to Rumohr (German art historian and writer), this masterpiece was intended to be used as a processional banner.
